An Empirical Analysis On The Impact Of New-type Urbanization And Inclusive Finance To Urban-rural Income Gap

With the continuous improvement of the economic level of various regions in China,the problem of urban-rural income gap has attracted more and more Chinese people attention.The urban-rural income gap will directly affect the balanced development of urban and rural areas in China.Therefore,in-depth analysis of the factors affecting the urban-rural income gap is of great significance.Based on the2006-2016 panel data of 31 provinces and cities nationwide,using entropy method to calculate comprehensive evaluation index of urbanization and inclusive finance in various provinces and cities and measure the coupling coordination level.Meanwhile,the Thiel index is used to measure the level of the income gap between urban and rural areas of cities,and the levels of new urbanization,inclusive finance and urban-rural income gaps in different provinces,cities and regions are compared and analyzed,respectively.Then,Moran's I index was used to verify the spatial correlation of new urbanization,inclusive finance and urban-rural income gap,and to establish a spatial econometric model.Finally,this dissertation establishes the panel quantile regression model to carry out the quantile regression for the national samples and the eastern and western regions respectively.Through empirical analysis,the main conclusions are as follows: there is a significant spatial autocorrelation among new-type urbanization,inclusive finance and the urban-rural income gap;For the national sample,new urbanization,inclusive finance and control variable economy openness,agricultural labor productivity reduce the urban-rural income gap in most points.With the decrease of the income gap,the effect intensity of each variable decreased.But regional education level passed the significance test is under 0.9,which had a promoting effect on narrowing the urban-rural income gap;for the eastern region,the main variables to narrow the urban-rural income gap are the level of agricultural support and agricultural labor productivity in the new urbanization inclusive finance development area.In the midlands area,regional education level and agricultural labor productivity can significantly reduce the urban-rural incomegap;the impact of new-type urbanization in western is not significant.It mainly relies on inclusive finance,economic openness and agricultural labor productivity to reduce the urban-rural income gap.
