As an important form of information communication,Workplace Gossip is common in organizations,which not only affects individual mental health and job satisfaction,but also affects harmonious interpersonal relationships and job performance,causing more and more academics and managers.More attention,especially in the context of China's "circle culture",the spread and influence of gossip has become more widespread.However,the current academic research on the impact of gossip in the workplace is mainly focused on Negative Workplace Gossip,and most of them are based on Western cultural background.Some scholars have pointed out that Positive Workplace Gossip and Negative Workplace Gossip are evenly distributed in the organization,but there are very few research about Positive Workplace Gossip.Analytical research,therefore it is important for exploring the influence of Positive Workplace Gossip in the context of Chinese culture.In addition,new employees,as the fresh blood of the organization and new competitors of colleagues,are more likely to become the goal of gossip,and thus the positive gossip research in the workplace of the new employee group is more typical.Based on the Self-Verification Theory,this paper explores the impact mechanism of Positive Workplace Gossip of the new employees on the Workplace Ostracism and Self-improvement of colleagues.Mainly based on theoretical and literature research,collecting data through questionnaires,using SPSS and AMOS software for empirical research,and finally came to the following conclusions:Positive Workplace Gossip about new employees has positive impact on colleagues' anxiety;Anxiety on the Workplace Ostracism and Self-improvement have a positive impact;Anxiety plays a mediating role in the positive impact of Positive Workplace Gossip on Workplace Ostracism and Self-improvement;Perceived Insider Status strengthens the positive impact of new employees1 Positive Workplace Gossip on colleagues' Anxiety and plays an adjustment role;Gender Similarity does not play a regulatory role in the relationship between Positive Workplace Gossip of new employees and the Anxiety of colleagues.Through the analysis of the conclusions,it can be seen that negative anxiety also leads to positive Self-improvement behavior.At the same time,it is suggested that managers should strengthen the attention to Positive Workplace Gossip and the Anxiety state of employees,and pay attention to the construction of team atmosphere.The main innovations are:(1)Supplementing the research on Positive Workplace Gossip outcome variables in the workplace;(2)Providing a new theoretical perspective on Workplace Gossip research;(3)Constructing a theoretical model of the impact of new employees' Positive Workplace Gossip on colleagues' behavior.
