Research On The Influence Factor Of Financial Information Of Listed Commercial Banks

In the past 40 years of reform and opening up,the development level and the competitiveness of financial institutions of China has been comprehensively improved.Chinese commercial banks are developing rapidly and their scale is constantly expanding.At present,27 banks have issued shares at the domestic stock market.As China becoming the most important banking market in the world,those listed commercial banks will receive extensive attention,anddisclosure issue will be monitored and tested.Also,the healthy development of banking industry is closely linked with the stable development of other industry.Therefore,it is apparent that the accounting information disclosure of listed commercial banks is important.We reviewed the principal-agent theory,information asymmetry and signaling theory,and related studies by scholars at home and abroad,then we reviewed the relevant laws and regulations of listed companies and the assessment system of listed companies by the exchange.Secondly,we comprehensively combed the relevant laws and regulations on the regular financial information disclosure of listed commercial banksby the CBRC.We defined the explained variable as the index of disclosure quality of listed banks,also we used the expert investigation method to conduct principal component analysis on the factors affecting the quality of financial information disclosure of listed commercial banks,by consulting experts from CBRC and other institutions.Finally,we selected size,performance,asset quality and internationalization degree of banks as explanatory variables.Using data of the annual reports of 25 listed commercial banks from 2014 to 2017 and the semi-annual reports from 2015 to 2017,we construct a multiple regression model.The results showed that size,performance,asset quality and the internationalization degree are positively correlated with explained variable.According to the results of analysis and empirical tests,we made the suggestion for commercial banks that they should improve their management and enhance the asset quality,and the governers should strengthen the supervision mechanism of listed commercial banks.
