GEKS French Domestic Purchasing Power Parity Measurement Research

With the progress and advancement of international comparison projects,purchasing power parity has developed rapidly as an international economic strength comparison method,and the ICP practice shows that internal differences in large countries may cause data quality problems.Therefore,the World Bank recommends domestic purchasing power parity calculations.The subject study was conducted using the most widely used GEKS method.The content of this paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,introducing the research background and significance of the thesis,the literature review of the GEKS method at home and abroad,and the difficulties,innovations and inadequacies in the research process.The second chapter is a review of the development history of the GEKS method.It introduces the introduction,principle,calculation steps and evaluation of the original GEKS method,GEKS* method and GEKS-S method,and concludes at the end of the chapter,indicating that the GEKS method measures the purchasing power parity.Some of the good qualities of the time-the immutability,characteristic,and transitivity of the base country.The third chapter is the calculation and analysis of the basic purchasing power parity of the GEKS method.Based on the analysis of the basic connotation of the basic GEKS method,it calculates the purchasing power parity of the eight basic categories of 31 provinces(urban areas)in China,and ranks and compares them.Analysis,differential analysis.The fourth chapter summarizes the purchasing power parity calculation and analysis by GEKS method.On the basis of the analysis of the basic connotation of the summary GEKS method,it explains the selection problem and weight problem of representative goods in the domestic summary.The GEKS method is used to measure the domestic aggregate purchasing power parity,and the analysis of the same region and the same GEKS method in different GEKS methods is carried out.The fifth chapter is the application of the purchasing power parity of the GEKS method.It uses the aggregate purchasing power parity to adjust the economic indicators of each region and analyzes the real economic differences between domestic regions.The sixth chapter is the conclusion and suggestion.Based on the full text of the theoretical introduction of the GEKS method and the analysis of the actual domestic calculation,the conclusions are drawn and some suggestions are put forward.The main contributions of this paper are as follows: Firstly,the GEKS method purchasing power parity theory is systematically reviewed,and the original GEKS method,GEKS* method and GEKS-S method purchasing power parity measurement work in various regions of China are completed.The latter two methods have been used by domestic scholars in the past.The second measure is to use the GEKS method to purchase power parity to adjust domestic economic indicators and conduct comparative analysis of actual economic strength among regions.The shortcoming of this paper is that the domestic and international aspects of the GEKS law have yet to be studied in depth.
