| The volume of foreign direct investment flowing to developing countries increased considerably in the 1990 s.The interest in foreign investment in developing countries is generally justified by many expectations: impact on growth,financial resources,the opening of international markets(markets,supplies,adaptation to standards,etc.),increased productivity,improvement of local management capacities and the transfer of technologies.This article is about studying the impact of investment in the sector of Information and Communication Technologies in terms of attracting foreign direct investment(FDI)in East Africa Community.The data used in this research are collected from World Bank(2005-2014).The results obtained,using the Regression Model,shows that investment in ICTs do have correlation on attracting FDI,but for the very region studied,the impact is still not obvious.This is due,taken in account experience from developed countries,to political situation in countries members of EAC. |
