A Research On Fund Settlement Service Optimization Of A Brokerage Firm's PB Business

The Prime Brokerage(also known as “PB Business”)frees private equity managers from complex and inefficient operations management and makes them focus more on private equity investments.China's PB business started late,from supervision to the prime brokers are still developing and improving.After consulting a large amount of literature,the author found that the domestic research on the operation and management of private equity funds is still blank,and there is no uniform normative standard in the industry.In the fierce market competition,how to provide better and more efficient operation services for private equity is a problem that every prime broker should consider.This paper takes the development history and current situation of A prime broker's PB business as an example,applies the process optimization theory and operation flow chart,benchmarking method,ESIA analysis method and DMAIC model design method,and through the author's many years of work experience summary and thinking,and the comparison and learning of domestic first-class prime brokers,focusing on the problems existing in the fund settlement which links with the most interactions with managers,and proposing practical problem-solving ideas and process optimization programs,this is also an urgent problem for A prime broker at this stage.By designing the electronic instruction platform,this paper solves the management dilemma of paper transfer instruction;solves the problem of cost verification and payment by optimizing the cost payment process and designing the logic of screening data;and solves the operation service fee through the design cost statistics system.In the whole process of PB business,this paper proposes corresponding process optimization suggestions for each process;for the fund transfer of the fund,this paper proposes a stricter audit system and higher system support requirements.
