Study On Procurement Cost Stickiness Of Wall-Mart From The Perspective Of Supply Chain Management

With the development of society and economy,the traditional supermarket model has changed correspondingly.At present,it is mainly a chain supermarket model to provide corresponding services for the society.Under the double oppression of the rapid upgrading of the Internet era and the entry of foreign retail enterprises into China,the local large-scale supermarket chains are facing fierce market competition.Local supermarket use its geographical advantages to actively expand itself,also combined with the familiar to the local people and local consumption habits advantages to further enhance the strength,for retail industry,structural changes in the purchasing cost and high cost of the enterprise profit space compression,slowed the enterprise growth,so in the current industry background,the study discussed the into nature of retail giant state of local supermarket chain,optimizing the allocation of resources in our country,set up the core competitive advantage has practical value and theoretical significance.This paper chooses wall-mart as the research object,because wall-mart,as a global retail giant,has advanced ideas and many successful experiences in cost management and control,especially its advanced supply chain management,which lays a solid foundation for its advantages in cost management and control.This paper studies the stickiness of procurement cost of wall-mart from the perspective of supply chain management,and deeply analyzes its advanced practices,so as to provide valuable experience for domestic retail enterprises to reduce procurement cost,improve procurement cost management efficiency,win cost advantages,and enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises.Cost stickiness theory is the development and enrichment of traditional cost state theory.From the perspective of supply chain management,this paper analyzes the impact of supply chain management on enterprise cost management,focusing on the impact of supply chain management on enterprise cost stickiness.The research ideas of this paper are as follows:firstly,the related concepts are elaborated;secondly,based on relational capital theory,asset specificity theory and transaction cost theory,theoretical analysis is made on how the efficiency of supply chain management affects the adjustment cost of relational assets.Secondly,the case study of wall-mart is carried out to introduce the current situation of its supply chain management.WEISS model is used for reference to measure the stickiness of wall-mart's procurement cost from 2010 to 2017.Then using qualitative and quantitative methods,wall-mart's procurement cost stickiness by factors for in-depth analysis.The study found that wall-mart's lower procurement cost stickiness is due to its advanced supply chain management and the relationship assets formed with other supply chain members.It is found that retail enterprises can form effective relational assets through supply chain management,improve the efficiency of resource adjustment and decision-making,and thus reduce the stickiness of procurement cost.Enterprises can improve the efficiency of procurementmanagement,so as to achieve flexible and efficient allocation of resources,reduce procurement costs.Finally,the paper expounds the corresponding enlightenment from this case study and the effective Suggestions for local supermarket chains in China.The limitations of the study are mainly reflected in the analysis of the wall-mart case,failing to make a specific comparative analysis of the matching with Chinese enterprises,and the degree of its reference will have an impact.In addition,as the case study only observes the experience of a company,it is inevitable to have certain particularity,and the conclusion is not universally representative.In the future,the study can expand the sample,explore the regularity of reference experience,and carry out comparative research to improve the conclusions of the referential.
