A Research On Capacity Utilization Of Manufacturing Enterprises

With the rapid development of China,the unreasonable industrial structure and low production efficiency have aroused great attention.To improve the efficiency and quality of the development of the socialist market economy of China,measures are taken to boost industrial restructuring and upgrading.As an important proposition of China’s economy,faced with increasingly complicated economic environment,how to guide Chinese enterprises in improving capacity utilization and making the transition from extensive to intensive development is worth our further study.This paper,from the standpoint of the enterprises,reviews the relative study,giving the definition of capacity utilization and attempts to study the micro factors that affect the capacity utilization of manufacturing companies based on the accounting information disclosed by listed manufacturing companies from 2007 to 2016.On the basis of the empirical research,this paper provides theoretical support for industrial policy formulation.The empirical results suggest that the capacity utilization of listed manufacturing companies in China is affected by several micro factors.Moreover,over-investment affected by the character of property right,corporate governance and government intervention is the main cause of the fluctuation of capacity utilization.
