The Impact Of The Change Of China's Foreign Trade Policy And Competitiveness On Taiwan's Economic Development

With the close trading relationship between China and Taiwan,the change of China's foreign trade policy and competitiveness has done a great impact on Taiwan's foreign trade.In the study of motivation,in view of the rise of China's economy and trade,and to enhance national competitiveness,Taiwan's economy has been a positive effect or a negative effect,in the past studies were not conclusive.Therefore,we hope that through The Interdependence Theory and National Competitive Advantage Theory to describe how the alternatives of China's foreign trade policy and competitiveness affect Taiwan's economic growth.This study uses regression analysis to verify the China's foreign trade policy and competitiveness change whether direct impact on economic growth in Taiwan;and China's foreign trade policy and competitiveness change whether through the influence of Taiwan's dependence on foreign trade,and further affect economic growth in Taiwan.The analytic results show that Taiwan's economic growth directly and indirectly affected by the China's foreign trade and competitiveness policy change.Based on the results,this study presents the following arguments:1.China's foreign trade policy which enhanc the openness of international trade,will facilitate Taiwan's merchandise exports to the China's vast market,and enhance the economic development of Taiwan.2.China's foreign trade policy which,expand the degree of openness of international funds to attract Taiwanese capital outflows to the China,the China's capital into Taiwan were severely restricted,so the development of Taiwan's economy will be in trouble.3.China's foreign trade policy which,expand the degree of openness of international investment,attracting Taiwanese to enter the China to set up factories,China needs to import goods from Taiwan will be reduced,so that Taiwan's export trade hurt.4.China's foreign trade policy which,expand the degree of openness of international investment,if China invests in other countries,which the industrial structure is similar to Taiwan,Taiwan's exports will make produce substituted crisis.5.The Promotion of China's competitiveness,Taiwan through maintaining trade exchanges with the China,help to improve the economic growth of Taiwan.
