Research On The Influencing Factors Of The Location Selection Of China’s Overseas Economic And Trade Cooperation Zone

As China’s participation in global economic and trade cooperation has deepened,foreign direct investment has become an important way for Chinese enterprises to achieve self-expansion as well as participate in international division of labor and cooperation.As a gathering platform for enterprises to “go out”,the overseas economic and trade cooperation zone has been positioned as an important bearing point after the “One Belt,One Road” initiative.However,compared with its increasingly important strategic position,there is only a small amount of empirical analysis on the location choice of the domestic consideration of the construction of overseas economic and trade cooperation zones.Based on the literature analysis method,qualitative analysis method and empirical analysis method,this paper comprehensively expounds the development of overseas economic and trade cooperation zones and the characteristics of location distribution,industrial distribution and current problems.For the empirical part,Logit analysis is carried out on panel data of 11 variables including the political environment,the bilateral trade volume with China,the infrastructure,the degree of openness to foreign investment,the market size and the factor endowment in 72 countries in 2006-2017.Divided into a full sample,"One Belt,One Road" countries and non-"Belt and Road" international samples to study the factors affecting the location selection of the foreign trade and economic cooperation zone selected by the host country.The empirical results show that:(1)The “Belt and Road Initiative” promotes the construction of overseas economic and trade cooperation zones;(2)the labor cost,natural resource endowment,market size and government efficiency of the host country are important for enterprises to establish the location choice of overseas economic and trade cooperation zones.Influencing factors;(3)There is a substitution effect between overseas economic and trade cooperation zones and trade.Finally,based on the conclusions of the study and the current problems in the overseas economic and trade cooperation zone,we put forward targeted suggestions.We believe that the overseas economic and trade cooperation zone should be included in the overall situation of the “Belt and Road”,and the government should pay attention to the industrial upgrading of the cooperation zone while improving the communication mechanism.The investment feasibility analysis should be fully done and the innovation of its own innovation should be emphasized.
