Robo-Advisor refers to the use of machines instead of traditional financial advisers to help customers optimize and configure their investment portfolios.With the rapid development of global Robo-Advisor market and quick expansion of asset management scale,many large-scale financial institutions and Internet companies in China are also active in the layout of Robo-Advisor market.In this thesis,first of all,the author analyzed and compared typical Robo-Advisor companies in mature capital market in America and pointed out the characteristics of each business mode.Secondly,based on a specific case analysis of AY Robo-Advisor,an empirical analysis on the development of Robo-Advisor in Chinese companies was carried out.Thirdly,the author summarized the operation effects of AY Robo-Advisor and use SWOT analysis method to dissect problems in the development process of AY Robo-Advisor in detail and put forward improvement suggestions.Lastly,on the basis of above analysis on successful experience and lessons,the author also proposed suggestions on the development modes of AY Robo-Advisor for domestic companies.Through research,it is found that the success of American companies in Robo-Advisor field and rapid expansion of asset management scale firstly lie in their accurate market positioning and secondly a series of supporting measures,which realized win-win situation for customers and companies.Although in terms of product design,AY Robo-Advisor took the design of mature companies in America for reference,in terms of product positioning,charging mode and target customers,there are still some blur points,so that AY Robo-Advisor failed to serve target customers.By virtue of channel advantages of financial institutions,AY Robo-Advisor has gained a large scale,but if it cannot bring tangible benefits to its customers,it will face hidden risks in the long run.In this context,the author proposed specific improvement suggestions on solving problems in the development of AY Robo-Advisor and reasonable countermeasures to develop similar Robo-Advisor business in China,including reducing frictional costs,actively applying for licenses,paying attention to regulatory compliance and big data mining,etc.,so as to provide reference to other Robo-Advisor business.
