The Influence Of Vertical Specialized Division On The International Competitiveness Of China 's Garment Industry Under The New Normal

Economic globalization has led to the integration and upgrading of the global value chain of manufacturing industry.The division of labor between countries has gradually expanded into the division of labor within the manufacturing industry.China's garment industry has also adopted transnational corporations' industry transfer,outsourcing,intermediate product import,international division of labor and other ways to integrate deeper into the international value system,so that the international vertical professional division of labor gradually deepens,this development trend brings new opportunities to the garment industry.In recent years,under the new economic conditions,China as the world's largest garment production and exporting countries has arised a decline in the total export volume of apparel products and the international market share,the study of how division of labor influences international competitiveness of China's garment industry under the new normal,and how to change the traditional mode of thinking to participate in the vertical division of value-added labor chain is necessary.This paper uses the input-output tables to calculate the increasing value of intermediate products and the vertical professionalization index(VSS index),demonstrates that China's garment industry exports more intermediate goods,and uses RCA index to measure the international competitiveness of the garment industry.Besides,reaches the influence of China's garment industry vertical division of labor index on the garment industry by empirical analysis,decomposes the specific indicators of the competitiveness of the garment industry,through the Chinese and Vietnamese garment industry competitiveness of the relevant factors to analyzes the comparative analysis of the garment industry competitiveness and how vertical division of labor influence on its international competitiveness.It is concluded that under the new economic situation,the trend of the vertical division of the garment industry has not been changed.The garment enterprises have been involved in the global value chain by capturing the brand value and technology value.Apparel industry takes the initiative to participate in the vertical division of labor,the vertical specialization has a positive spillover effect to improve the competitiveness of the garment industry.In addition to the vertical professional,the apparel industry technical factors,per capital industrial output and other factors of different performance,its impact on the international competitiveness of the role is different,China's clothing industry has occupied production and resource advantages,but compared to other developed countries,the international vertical division of China is also low.Local garment enterprises should fully absorb international clothing knowledge,technology spillovers and take local brands as strategic point,change it's concept to seek transformation,upgrading and collaborative innovation to enhance their international competitiveness.
