The production site is not only the main place for manufacturing corporations to create benefits,but also the place for problems and emergencies.Spot management is the microcosm of enterprise management and many management issues are reflected in spot,the level of spot management directly reflects the quality of enterprise management.The improvement of spot management is to improve production factors like workers,machine,material,method,environment,measurement,information,and so on.The improvements of spot management has a significant influence in reducing waste in the production process,reducing production costs,improving production organizations,improving production quality,ensuring production safety,improving customer satisfaction and enhance enterprises benefits.6S Spot management is founded on the basis of 5S management.It is the most widely used spot management mode in the world.6S spot management is used in many enterprises to standardize the management of production factors,improve the comprehensive management level of spot,and ultimately improve the quality of operators.6S spot management is an effective method to improve the level of spot management and has been applied in many enterprises.Firstly,this paper introduced the development of 6S spot management and the details of 6S,organization process and main implementation methods are also been analyzed.Secondly,this paper introduced current spot management of Xi’an RW institute,spot management situation and technology capability are also introduced.Combining with the present situation of the normalization of physical bidding and crossover of scientific trial production and small batch production,the implementing of 6S spot management is necessary.Thirdly,the implementation objectives and principles of 6S management in the production site are analyzed.The implementations in the preparatory stage and the concrete plan and measures in the comprehensive promotion stage are clarified.The detailed implementation system,organizational structure,assessment criteria and rewards and punishments are formulated.Finally,the results of 6S spot management are evaluated and compared,continuous improvement measures are offered.After the implementation of6 S spot management,the production system responds more quickly to order changes andthe manufacturing process is more reliable due to the implementation of 6S management.6S management can increasing production value and profits,raising the completion ratio of production plan,increasing equipment utilization ratio,improving the ratio of inspection and customer satisfaction,meanwhile,the manufacturing cycle,preparing time,equipment failure rate and the quantity of defective goods is reduced.The corporation management model of Xi’an RW Institute has typical characteristics of Chinese research institute.Through the analysis of 6S spot management,we want 6S play an active role in improving the basic management of Xi’an RW institute.On this basis,it summarizes the experiences and lessons learned in 6S spot management,which provides valuable reference for the execution in other corporations.
