Research On Tobacco Company's Social Responsibility In A City

Tobacco companies,as in a special monopoly industry,because of the harmfulness of their products,put the entire industry naturally in a not advantaged position in ethics and morality.In recent years,with the increasing tobacco control movement and the gradual improvement of people's health awareness,how the tobacco industry can better fulfill its social responsibilities has attracted wide attention from all walks of life,and it is also facing pressure and challenges.On the one hand,it has to fulfill the indicator of national fiscal revenue,on the other hand,it has to echo the voice of tobacco control and smoking bans.Tobacco companies not only have to respond to the public's expectations of tobacco control,but also endeavour to keep sustainable development without losing too much of their economic benefits.Therefore,it is of great theoretical value and extraordinary practical significance to study the status and countermeasures of tobacco companies in fulfilling their social responsibilities at this stage.In the writing process,the paper first defined the basic concepts of corporates social responsibility by studying relevant domestic and foreign literature,and sorted out the analytical framework of the paper based on relevant theories.Secondly,the paper selected tobacco corporates in city A as a sample,collected first-hand information through questionnaires,and summarized the outstanding problems of tobacco company A in fulfilling social responsibilities.At the same time,the thesis attempts to analyze the causes of the problem from the perspective of public management from three levels: government,business and society.At last,the paper learned from the advanced experience of three foreign multinational tobacco corporates,combined with the actual situation of tobacco corporates in city A,put forward specific countermeasures and suggestions.The paper advocated to build a linkage pattern "government-led,corporates-independent and social-participation",so as to truly balance the economic and social benefits of tobacco corporates and finally achieve sustainable development.
