With the rapid development of our country's economy, the improvement of people's consumption level, consumer groups and the change of consumption patterns to Chinese garment enterprise has brought enormous opportunities for development. But economic growth speed slow, production costs are high, clothing industry internal competition is intense, high consumer demands for clothing fashion, foreign brands to enter the Chinese market competition factors, presents a challenge to domestic clothing brand enterprise. From the perspective of the clothing industry,on the one hand, more and more fashion brands participate in the market competition, the competition is more fierce; On the other hand, the leaders of fast fashion brands have a lot of advantages in the supply chain, production and sales channels. The brand concentration in the clothing industry is increasing, the threshold for new brands to enter is getting higher and higher, and the polarization of the industry is becoming more and more serious. The supply chain is the foundation of the development of an enterprise and exists in every link of enterprise operation. Therefore, the primary task of a clothing brand enterprise is to find a supply chain model suitable for the development of the enterprise and to promote the development of the enterprise in theactual operation process.SPA refers to a "vertically integrated" supply chain mode, which is connected from product planning, design, production, logistics to sales and is fully participated in by enterprises. This mode can better reflect consumer demand, closely link enterprises with customers, improve the supply method and shorten the supply chain process,to achieve rapid response to the market.Zara,a brand owned by Spain's Inditex group, surpassed GAP of the United States and Sweden's H&M in 2011.Uniqlo,owned by Japan's fast retailing group, has grown from a clothing store in suburban Japan to the no.1 seller of clothing brands in Japan.Among global fast fashion clothing brands in 2019,its second only to Zara in sales and the only Asian brand to make the world's top five. The clothes provided by Zara and uniqlo not only meet the needs of consumers for personalized fashion, but also cater to consumers' psychology of buying low prices. The SPA supply chain model guarantees the fashion of products and reduces the cost, which makes Zara and uniqlo successful. At present,China's private brand clothing enterprises have the potential to apply the SPA model, but they are still in the initial stage. These enterprises still have the problems of low R&D investment, few direct stores, low inventory turnover and high corporate debt ratio. This paper firstly introduces the enterprise profile of Zara and uniqlo and their SPA supply chain model.Secondly,by selecting a series offinancial indicators to conduct a comparative study on the operation effects of Zara and uniqlo in the SPA supply chain, the author finds out the reasons behind the success of their application of the SPA supply chain model. Finally,by summarizing the successful experience of Zara and uniqlo in the application of SPA mode, and aiming at the existing problems in the supply chain development of Chinese private brand clothing enterprises, reasonable Suggestions are proposed for the application of SPA mode of Chinese private brand clothing enterprises.
