| With the development of economy and the further intensification of market competition,the integrity,morality and responsibility of enterprises are particularly prominent.The issue of corporate social responsibility has attracted the attention of scholars and has been studied extensively.How to promote enterprises to perform social responsibility effectively has become an important social issue at home and abroad.Academic research on corporate social responsibility mainly starting from the motivation of corporate social responsibility,think that the major factors to promote enterprises to fulfill social responsibility from the economic,institutional and ethics,etc.,including more scholars from the executive level to study corporate social responsibility problem,one of the more popular from a manager or executive board level to research influence on corporate social responsibility,attitude,or behavior that managers or members of the board of directors characteristics,attitudes,or behavior can significantly affect the company’s social responsibility behavior.Supervisors as one of the major persons-in-charge of the enterprise,its behavior is supposed to be on corporate social responsibility fulfillment situation caused certain effect,but few scholars from the board of supervisors to study the relationship between background characteristics,and in state-owned enterprises under the background of the nature of the relationship of the two may be different with previous research,so the nature of state-owned enterprises under the characteristics of executives and corporate social responsibility of the board of supervisors can extend the relationship between corporate social responsibility related research,and make the state-owned enterprises to better fulfill the corporate social responsibility.Therefore,based on the higher-order theory,this paper tries to discuss the influence of the background characteristics of the chairman of the board of supervisors on CSR behavior in the context of state-owned listed companies from the perspective of background characteristics of the chairman of the board of supervisors.Firstly,this paper defines the concepts of CSR and the background characteristics of the chairman of the board of supervisors involved in the research,and reviews the literature of the research on CSR by the characteristics of senior executives of the board of supervisors at home and abroad.Secondly,it introduces the higher-order theory and analyzes the influence mechanism of the background characteristics of the chairman of the board of supervisors on CSR behavior.Then,this paper selects the data of 2,626 listed companies’ social responsibility scores released by runling from 2011 to 2017 to measure the level of social responsibility information disclosure of listed companies in China.By building a multiple regression model to the chairman of thesupervisory board background characteristics and the relationship between corporate social responsibility behavior and empirical analysis,the regression results show that the chairman of the supervisory board’s gender,level of education and have overseas experiences have a significant impact on corporate social responsibility behaviour,and the age of chairman of the supervisory board is no significant influence on the behavior of corporate social responsibility,and equity in the chairman of the supervisory board characteristics on the influence of corporate social responsibility in the process of significant regulatory role.Finally,from the perspective of the actual performance of CSR in China,combined with the empirical research results,the research conclusions are summarized and new prospects are proposed. |
