Under fierce market competition forces,manufacturers are forced to provide the high quality warranty service for consumers,which increases the warranty cost and cuts down the enterprise profit greatly.One possible way to reduce the expected warranty servicing cost is by making sound decision on the product maintenance strategies.Focusing on the preventive maintenance modeling and decision analysis of two-dimensional warranty products,three warranty models are built,warranty strategies are proposed and decision analysis are also made in this paper.Modeling and optimization of multi-stage two-dimensional preventive maintenance.The rectangular warranty period is divided into four mutually disjoint sub-areas according to the age and usage of the product.In order to reduce warranty costs,minimal maintenance is carried out in the early days of product use and the last area adjacent to the end of the warranty period.Imperfect and perfect preventive maintenance are performed periodically over two intermediate ares,which are in good and poor performance states,according to age interval or usage interval(which ever occurs first).The two groups of age and usage intervals for preventive maintenances are optimized by minimizing warranty service cost.The effectiveness of the preventive maintenance strategy is verified by a numerical example.Modeling and optimization of non-periodic two-dimensional preventive maintenance with minimal repair threshold.Product warranty period is divided into two stages: preventive maintenance period and minimal maintenance period.Minimal maintenance is performed when the age or usage of the product exceeds a predetermined threshold.Before the threshold,the non-periodic two-dimensional imperfect preventive maintenance strategy is implemented.It is assumed that the age interval and usage interval of preventive maintenance are decreasing geometric progression.Taking the warranty cost as the objective function,the level,age and usage intervals of preventive maintenance are optimized.The superiority and applicability of the method are showed by numerical examples.Modeling and optimization of two-dimensional preventive maintenance considering shocks.Preventive maintenance is carried out periodically per K unit of age or per L unit of usage(which ever occurs first).The failure rate of the system is reduced by the preventive maintenances.When a shock arrivals,the failure rate of the system increases or failure occurs.Decision analysis are made by taking age interval and usage interval of preventive maintenance as the decision variables and setting warranty service cost as the objective function.The superiority of the strategy is showed by numerical examples.This paper builds models,puts forward warranty strategies and makes decision analysis from the reality of warranty engineering.The result is the promotion and improvenment of existing warranty decision research.
