A Multi-Case Study On The Impact Of Overseas Strategic Investors On Enterprise Innovation

The clear goal of China's enterprise innovation is to speed up the construction of national innovation system,and vigorously build the enterprise as the main body of the technological innovation system.But in terms of the overall level,the innovation ability of Chinese enterprises is still low,how to improve the ability of enterprise innovation has become a major issue that we need to solve.China's growing contingent of strategic investors has created the conditions for studying the impact of strategic investors on enterprise innovation.Based on the mainstream trend of the introduction of overseas strategic investors,this paper will analyze the changes brought by the overseas strategic investors from the perspective of enterprise innovation.This paper intends to explore the change of innovation ability after the introduction of foreign strategic investors outside the financial industry.On the basis of the existing research and literature,the paper first collects the data index of the innovation ability of the listed companies which have introduced the overseas strategic investors,and analyzes the data based on the double difference model.The results show that the introduction of foreign strategic investors has a positive impact on the listed company's innovation ability.Then,on the basis of the research on the effect of the total,the case study method is used to analyze the change of the representative company's innovation ability,and the difference between different overseas strategic investors bring to the innovation ability of the listed companies is studied.According to the related research of foreign strategic investors and business innovation,to shareholder activism,information asymmetry,incentive innovation as the theoretical basis,selected three specific cases to analyzed and found the related positive effect of foreign strategic investors influence on enterprise innovation ability,including the localization of ownership,investment experience,and time cooperation.Finally,according to the results of this paper,it clarifies the relationship between the introduction of overseas strategic investors and the change of enterprise innovation ability,and provides some suggestions for the enterprises of listed companies to introduce overseas strategic investors to improve their innovation ability.
