Technological R&D innovation plays a vital role in the sustainable development of high-tech enterprises and the shaping of core competitiveness, the construction of an innovative country also requires the promotion of R&D and innovation in high-tech enterprises. In order to improve the innovation performance of high-tech enterprises, the government has formulated a series of policies to stimulate its R&D and innovation activities, but the role of government subsidy policies on the innovation performance of high-tech enterprises has been controversial. This article takes the high-tech enterprises listed in China as a sample, and introduces R&D investment as a mediating variable,it analyzes and compares the effect of two government subsidy methods on the innovation performance of high-tech enterprises.Firstly,it defines related concepts such as high-tech enterprises and government subsidies, introduces the theoretical foundations such as government intervention theory, technology innovation theory, and information asymmetry theory, and sort out and analyze existing relevant literature at home and abroad.Secondly,in view of the current state of government subsidy policies, theoretically analyze its effect on the innovation performance of high-tech enterprises.Thirdly, based on the existing research results and the above analysis, put forward the hypothesis of this paper, and select appropriate samples and variables to establish relevant research models. Then use statistical analysis software such as stata 15.0 to perform descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and regression analysis on the variables to verify the hypothesis of this paper. Finally, summarize the conclusions, put forward suggestions and prospects for future research.Through empirical analysis, this article draws the following conclusions: 1,The government subsidy policy is a favorable policy for high-tech enterprises. Both methods of government subsidies can fully arouse the enthusiasm of high-tech enterprises in technological R&D and innovation, and guide them to increase investment in R&D innovation.2,The government subsidy can have a significantpositive impact on the innovation performance of high-tech enterprises, and the direct subsidy by the government has a better effect, the government's subsidy policy for technological R&D and innovation activities of high-tech enterprises is equivalent to giving a strong shot to high-tech enterprises, increasing their confidence in R&D innovation,so that they can better generate innovation performance.3,The role of government subsidies to promote the innovation performance of high-tech enterprises is through capital investment in their R&D process.
