Using the data of A shares' listed companies from 2013 to 2016,this paper constructs two indicators to measure the implementation of “Internet+” to explore the impact of the implementation of “Internet+” on audit fees.Further, this paper explores the impact of the level of internet development of cities on the relationship between the implementation of “Internet+” and audit fees. Finally, this paper explores the impact of whether the company is in the manufacturing industry on the relationship between the implementation of “Internet+” and audit fees. The empirical research shows that with the implementation of “Internet+” of listed companies, the audit fees of listed companies have significantly improved. There are two reasons for this: on the one hand, the implementation of “Internet+” will increase the risk of material misstatement, which will lead to an increase in audit fees;on the other hand, auditors need to change the methods in face of “Internet+”,which will directly impact audit costs.Further research finds that in the cities with higher level of Internet development, the positive correlation between “Internet+” and audit fees is significantly weakened. Finally, the study also found that the positive correlation between the implementation of “Internet+” by companies in the manufacturing industry and audit fees is significantly stronger than that of companies in other industries. The research above indicates that the implementation of “Internet +” has a certain impact on the CPA industry. The research of this paper extends the boundary of empirical research about audit and explains the influencing factors of audit fees from a new angle of view(“Internet+”),and further explains there are two factors that can impact the relationship between “Internet+” and audit fees, which has some theoretical innovation.
