Research On The Motivation And Effect Of Enterprises Introducing Overseas Strategic Investor

With the deepening of the influence of economic globalization and the increasing attraction of China’s capital market,More and more overseas strategic investors choose to focus on the outstanding enterprises in China.Strategic investors,unlike financial investors,not only provide funds for companies,but also meet the needs of companies in terms of technology,experience and resources.The emergence of strategic investment has set up a bridge for foreign investors to yearn for China’s capital market and Chinese companies to seek their own development.Therefore,it is more meaningful to study the motivation and effect of introducing strategic investors into enterprises.This paper,by the method of case study,taking Yong Hui Superstores as an example and discussing its case of introducing overseas strategic investor.Through the analysis of financial data of Yong Hui Superstores from 2013 to 2017,and horizontally compare with enterprises that have not introduced foreign strategic investors,similar to the business,scale and market value of the same industry.At the same time,the event research method and the performance analysis method of EVA model are also used in this paper.The analysis draws the conclusion that the introduction of overseas strategic investors can have a positive effect on their capital needs,corporate governance,strategic development and secondary market.Finally,summarizes the suggestions that enterprises should reasonably arrange debt financing ratio,choose appropriate overseas strategic investors,and pay attention to preventing the transfer of control rights,in order to provide experience for other similar enterprises in China that intend to introduce overseas strategic investors.
