Study On The Efficiency And Influencing Factors Of China’s Outward Foreign Direct Investment In ASEAN

ASEAN is located in the southeast of Asia and is a close neighbor of China.It is currently ranked as the fifth largest economy in the world.In 2010,the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area was completed.In 2013,China proposed the “Belt and Road” initiative,and ASEAN was one of the most important regions along the “Belt and Road”.With the continuous deepening of China-ASEAN cooperation in recent years,China’s investment in ASEAN countries is also increasing.However,China’s outward direct investment in ASEAN is still facing a series of problems such as low investment efficiency,unbalanced investment location,and insufficient investment experience.The focus of this study is to find out the factors that affect China’s outward direct investment in ASEAN,reduce the barriers to investment,and improve investment efficiency.This article analyzes the development status of China’s outward direct investment in ASEAN by collecting relevant documents at home and abroad,and using relevant theories and data,and analyzes the change and growth trend of China’s outward direct investment in ASEAN from the overall,country and industry.Then introduce the stochastic frontier method into the traditional gravitational model,construct a stochastic frontier investment gravitational model to study the potential and efficiency of China’s outward direct investment in ASEAN,and analyze the influencing factors and direct investment efficiency of China’s outward direct investment in ASEAN.The main conclusions drawn are: 1.China’s GDP,ASEAN’s actual per capita GDP,distance,national proximity and common language all contribute to China’s outward direct investment in ASEAN;2.ASEAN’s GDP and China’s actual per capita GDP It has a depressing effect on China’s outward direct investment in ASEAN;3.Government efficiency,investment freedom,labor freedom and financial freedom have a promoting effect on China’s investment efficiency in ASEAN;4.ASEAN government spending,business freedom and currency freedom have ASEAN’s investment efficiency has had a dampening effect.By obtaining the above results,this article makes the following suggestions: increase the scale of China’s outward direct investment in ASEAN;China should focus on and choose to invest in ASEAN countries;China should speed up the adjustment of the industrial layout of investment in ASEAN;strengthen the risk prevention and control of Chinese enterprises Awareness and improve the ability to resist risks;increase the support of the Chinese government.
