Research On The Impact Of Digitalization On The International Competitiveness Of China’s Manufacturing Industry

With the continuous iteration and innovation of digital technology,digital economy has developed into a new driving force for global economic growth.At the same time,the fourth industrial revolution,marked by digital technology,is promoting the transformation of social production mode to digitalization worldwide,which not only has an impact on the entire economic system,but also triggers the adjustment of the international economic pattern and has a profound impact on the international competitiveness of China’s manufacturing industry.Therefore,in the context of global digital transformation,studying the impact of digitalization on the international competitiveness of manufacturing industry is not only conducive to expanding the theoretical system of the international competitiveness of manufacturing industry,but also has strong theoretical and practical significance for promoting the digital transformation and international competitiveness of China’s manufacturing industry.In order to study the effect of digitalization on the improvement of the international competitiveness of China’s manufacturing industry,this paper firstly theoretically analyzes the impact of digitalization on the international competitiveness of China’s manufacturing industry from the micro,middle and macro levels,and found that digitization has improved the international competitiveness of the manufacturing industry from these three levels.Secondly,it introduces the digitalization and The process of the development of the international competitiveness of the manufacturing industry has measured the digitization level and international competitiveness index of China’s overall and three different factor-intensive manufacturing industries and various sub-sectors,and conducted international comparisons with major countries in the world.The results show that the digitalization level of China’s manufacturing industry is second only to South Korea,and the digitalization level of technology-intensive manufacturing industry is the highest among different factor-intensive industries,followed by the digitalization level of capital and labor-intensive industries;China’s manufacturing industry has strong international competitiveness,among which labor Intensive industries have the strongest international competitiveness,followed by technology-intensive industries,and capital-intensive industries the weakest.Then,on the basis of the analysis of the correlation between digitization and the international competitiveness of the manufacturing industry,an econometric model is established to empirically test the impact of digitization and other related factors on the international competitiveness of China’s manufacturing industry.It is found that digitalization has a positive impact on the overall competitiveness of China’s manufacturing industry and the enhancement of international competitiveness of different factor-intensive sub-sectors.Finally,on the basis of the previous theory,current situation and empirical analysis,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and Suggestions are proposed to promote the digital competitiveness of China’s manufacturing industry.
