Innovation is the first driving force leading development. In the increasingly competitive social environment, enterprises want to develop for a long time, they must transform from factor-driven to innovation-driven,and implement innovation to every employee. In addition to innovation, organizational citizenship behavior made by employees will also have a very important impact on enterprises. In an organization,as the direct superior of employees, leaders have an important impact on employees' innovation performance and contextual performance. Some studies have confirmed that leadership member exchange has a positive impact on employees' innovation performance and contextual performance, but these studies start from social exchange theory and ignore the role of employees' basic psychological needs. Therefore, based on self-determination theory, this paper explores the influence mechanism of leadership member exchange relationship on employees' innovation performance and contextual performance, and also explores the boundary conditions of leadership member exchange on employees' basic psychological needs.Firstly, starting from practice, this paper clarifies the importance of employee organizational citizenship behavior and innovative behavior for enterprises, combs the previous literature on leadership member exchange, basic psychological needs(autonomous needs, capacity needs, relationship needs),political skills, reasoning from a theoretical perspective, and proposes the structural equation model of this paper.Secondly,474 valid questionnaires were collected from manufacturing enterprises in Gansu,Jiangxi and Shanxi by issuing on-site questionnaires and web-based questionnaires. On the basis of these questionnaires, descriptive statistics were conducted on the questionnaires.SPSS19.0 and MPLUS7.4software were used to test the reliability and validity of the data, and then hierarchical regression and Bootstrap were used to analyze the proposed structure. The model is tested and the following results are obtained: leadership member exchange is positively correlated with employees' innovation performance and contextual performance;basic psychological needs and their three dimensions(autonomous needs, capacity needs, relationship needs)play a part of mediating role between leadership member exchange and employees' innovation performance and contextual performance;staff political skills play a part in leadership member exchange and basic psychological needs and their three dimensions plays a positive regulatory role among the dimensions(autonomous needs, ability needs, relationship needs). Finally, based on the results of theoretical derivation and structural equation model analysis, this paper puts forward management suggestions for enterprise management from the perspectives of individuals and management. At the same time, the results of the study were discussed, and the shortcomings and future research directions were pointed out.
