In recent years,China's export trade is facing various major practical problems,such as the disappearance of population dividend,scarcity of resources endowment,transfer of foreign capital and trade frictions between China and the United States.The traditional comparative advantage driving trade development is gradually losing,which is not conducive to the healthy development of China's economy,especially for manufacturing industry.Under the background of the declining traditional power,the market scale contained in our country is growing steadily.Can this be a new driving force and advantage for the sustained and healthy development of China's trade?At this stage,China's economy is in the transition period from high-speed growth to medium-lowspeed growth with emphasis on the quality of growth.China's foreign trade will also face opportunities and challenges to improve quality and efficiency.As an essential foothold for the development of foreign trade,improving the quality of export products is an important content and topic for China to build a strong trading country and achieve a high-quality development strategy.Based on this background,this paper,from the perspective of exploring the endogenous motive force to promote the sustainable development of China's manufacturing export trade,focuses on investigating the impact of the huge and growing domestic market scale on improving the quality of export products,the mechanism of action and the optimization countermeasures,hoping to obtain useful inspiration and policies to enhance China's trade competitiveness.Firstly,based on Hausmann's technology complexity index,this paper measures the quality of China's export products from the year 2002 to 2016,and makes a comparative analysis of the current situation of China's export products quality.Secondly,it uses panel data fixed effect model and tool variable method to verify the role of domestic market size on the quality of export products and its impact mechanism.Finally,based on the above conclusions,this paper puts forward corresponding policy recommendations.The study found that,from 2002 to 2016,China's export products as a whole have obvious quality upgrading phenomenon,and the quality of export products of the three major industries are in a slow rising stage.From the impact of domestic market scale on export product quality,we can see that domestic market scale has a positive effect on the promotion of export product quality at the present stage,and from the mechanism of domestic market scale on export product quality,in terms of internal mechanism,domestic market scale and FDI can form an effective coupling mechanism in the process of promoting export product quality together.In terms of external mechanism,market size can positively upgrade the quality of export products by promoting labor productivity.This paper not only enriches the theoretical research of domestic market scale on export product quality,but also provides useful policy reference and Enlightenment for how to improve export product quality under the background of new international economic and trade development.Action mechanism;countermeasures and suggestions...
