With the rapid development of the economy and the increasingly fierce market competition,today's enterprises must rely on technological innovation if they want to improve their core competitiveness in the fierce competition to achieve long-term development.The research and development activities are exactly what enterprises carry out technological innovation.A source of strength.As an emerging industry,artificial intelligence has high technical requirements,so more research and development investment is needed to provide support.Artificial intelligence products have a short life cycle,high technology content,and high market demand.Only by relying on research and development activities and continuous technological innovation can we form core competitiveness and further improve the performance of enterprises.At present,China's artificial intelligence industry still has problems such as insufficient investment in research and development funds,and scarcity of high-end and sophisticated research and development personnel,which are difficult to meet the changing consumer needs and industry development status,which will have a certain impact on its corporate performance.This article takes Hikvision as an object for case analysis.On the basis of summarizing relevant literature on the impact of domestic and foreign R & D investment on corporate performance,it introduces the definition of artificial intelligence companies,R & D investment,corporate performance,and determination of performance evaluation methods.The status quo and performance of R & D investment in China's artificial intelligence industry were investigated to reflect the development of the entire artificial intelligence industry.Next,taking Hikvision as an example,we evaluate and analyze Hikvision's R & D investment through Hikvision's R & D intensity,R & D investment growth rate,proportion of R & D personnel,and education level of R & D personnel,and then compare The financial data of Dahua Co.,the largest competitor in the field of Hikvision and security,selects corresponding financial evaluation indicators from the aspects of profitability,solvency,development ability,and operating ability to reflect the impact of R & D investment on financial performance.From the perspective of market performance and innovation performance,corresponding indicators are selected to reflect the impact of R & D investment on nonfinancial performance.Finally,the lag of R & D investment is researched,and corresponding suggestions are put forward in order to provide reference and reference for other artificial intelligence companies to make reasonable R & D investment and improve corporate performance.
