Corporate mergers and acquisitions are an important means of corporate asset reorganization.Cross-border mergers and acquisitions of domestic enterprises is one of the important ways to "go global" and realize the strategy of internationalization. It is also one of the important ways of capital export of Chinese enterprises. In many cases of overseas mergers and acquisitions, not all mergers and acquisitions have succeeded in bringing expected profits to the company.Mergers and acquisitions have increased the size of corporate assets and income, but at the same time, risks have also increased.Cultural, resource, and financial issues in the process of mergers and acquisitions cannot be ignored. Some mergers and acquisitions will not only fail, but will bring negative effects, leading to the decline of corporate value and loss of benefits. The treatment of a series of integration issues after mergers and acquisitions determines the success or failure of mergers and acquisitions. This paper adopts three research methods: accounting index method, financial analysis method and economic value added. This article selects the representative case of Shuanghui Group's international merger and acquisition of Smithfield in the United States for analysis.First, the research background and research significance of this article are explained. After collecting relevant domestic and foreign literature,a literature review is written, and the research content and research methods and technical routes adopted in this article are discussed. The innovations and shortcomings are explained.Secondly, the research case selected in this article is the case of Shuanghui M & A Smithfield. The starting point is to introduce the basic situation of both parties to the merger and acquisition company, the company's background, and the process of the company's merger and acquisition. The entire transaction process and M & A characteristics. The article adopts three research methods: accounting index method, event research method and economic value added. This case studies the case of Shuanghui M & A Smithfield, explores the performance evaluation issues during the M & A activity, and then evaluates its financial indicators before and after the merger.Analyze and draw the conclusion and inspiration of the article.Based on the success of the case, the key factors and experience of successful Shuanghui mergers and acquisitions and the problems that may arise later are summarized to provide useful experience and reference for other domestic companies to carry out related mergers and acquisitions,so as to give China's animal husbandry industry an integrated development of the industrial chain The introduction of a new model will bring beneficial inspiration to the transnational mergers and acquisitions of Chinese enterprises in the future.
