Scope and Method of Study. The purpose of this study was to determine if a rotatable metal grating attached to a silicon prism would be able to affect the phase and polarization of Terahertz frequencies in a wide bandwidth. A standard Terahertz Time Domain Spectroscopy system was used to determine its effectiveness.;Findings and Conclusions. Attaching a rotatable metal grating to a silicon prism created a wide bandwidth Soleil-Babinet compensator. Rotation of the grating induces a frequency independent phase shift that can be varied over more than 3/2pi.
