Abstract/Summary:
Current applications in wastewater analysis are essential to the environmental chemistry necessary to maintain operations of any wastewater facility. A critical evaluation of the methods for the following analyses: Total Solids EPA Method 160.3/SM 2540 B, Total Suspended Solids EPA Method 160.2/SM 2540 D, and Total Dissolved Solids EPA Method 160.1/SM 2540 C are the goals of this project. These three examinations are required to be performed as a measure of quality and compliance of the local El Paso City wastewater facilities. It has come to pass, that in the setting of a wastewater laboratory, preparation to perform these analyses have become very complicated due to the nature of the samples being investigated. An evaluation of this nature can extend the value of these three analyses and assist in the logistics of maintaining effective wastewater management.
