Abstract/Summary:
This Thesis is about the calibration method of a small-scale single-axis shake table and its realization by programming user-friendly software for calibration and shaking using LabVIEW.;In order to verify the reliability of the calibration, two methodologies were used. The first set of data is gained from the accelerometer by attaching it directly on the shake table platform. Both a single sine wave and a scaled real seismic wave were tested. After calibration, both sets of collected data from the accelerometer were almost the same as the input.;After calibration, the G. G. Schierle shake table is valuable to the School of Architecture as a teaching and research tool. It can be used to demonstrate the structure behavior visually and can be used in an experiment to get reliable numerical data for structure research and study.
