Abstract/Summary:
The lack of a standardized quality assurance surveillance strategy has been recognized within the Defense Contract Management Agency as a concern. A standard workable solution has not been successfully implemented to date. This research is intended to show that the existing quality assurance surveillance guidelines and instructions can be used to develop a comprehensive government contract surveillance strategy that is both workable and useful. The research will investigate how the Defense Contract Management Agency develops and executes quality assurance surveillance processes, whether the surveillance strategies it uses are valid, and if the system of processes can be used to positively impact product realization to meet desired customer outcomes.
