| The goal of this thesis is to develop a software tool for visualizing and displaying vehicle trajectories on Google Earth images of actual roadways or transportation facilities.;The Keyhole Markup Language (KML) is used to create Visualization files that can be read and viewed on Google Earth.;Vehicle trajectories are described in terms of rectilinear motion of a reference point on the vehicle along a curved path, and a specification of the orientation of the vehicle with respect to a standard Geographic North direction, in the form of an Angle From North (AFN). The underlying physics of the trajectory is the elementary dynamics of particles.;A spreadsheet based calculation methodology is used for generating vehicle trajectories based on data input from users, using Microsoft Excel.;The Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) coordinate system is used for visualization of the Vehicle Trajectory data.;The software tool developed is written in C... |
