Abstract/Summary:
Various diesters needed for the synthesis of differentially linked beta-C-trisaccharides were synthesized by usual functional group transformations. The esters were methylenated using Takai's protocol and cyclized using the second generation of Grubb's catalyst. Hydroboration of the resulting bis-C-glycal produces beta-C-trisaccharide.
