Abstract/Summary:
Bayes procedures are widely used in statistics. This thesis studies their frequentist justifications. The goal is to establish posterior contraction when data is sampled from some true distribution. Problems that are related to adaptation, non-intrinsic loss functions and high-dimensional statistics are going to be addressed.
