| This document describes the analysis, design and implementation of a prototype of an electronic patient record system for the Health Services Department of the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez. Previous works similar to this project and a task analysis of the Health Services Department were considered for the development of this project. Using this information and applying usability engineering principles in the design process a patient record system was developed consisting of five modules: Record creation module, Record look up module, Physicians' module, Nurses' module and Patient registration module. The functionality and user interfaces of these modules are described in this report. The database use to keep the records is also described. |
