This study examined the psychology associated with the perceived usefulness and perceived relevance of computer and Internet technology. Students at a mid-size southeastern university were surveyed and the results of the survey were calculated to determine perceived usefulness and relevance of computer use and the psychology associated with them. The number of hours the participants spent on the Internet per week was calculated to determine heavy users and light users of the Internet. Significance was found with perceived usefulness as well as perceived relevance of computer and Internet use. Overall, the results suggest that heavy users will use computer and Internet technology whether they perceive it to be useful or relevant.
