Abstract/Summary:

The coupled torsional-lateral vibrations in single and two-disk rotor systems are studied analytically and experimentally over the operational frequency range. A comparison of analytical and experimental results is done for a motor pump assembly. The results presented shows the existence and significance of the coupling phenomenon in rotating machinery.
