The academic achievement of students enrolled in an online course versus the traditional classroom

Abstract/Summary:
This study compares the academic achievement of community college students enrolled in an online to students enrolled in the on-campus computer applications course. During the Spring 2001, 19 online and 27 traditional students at Northampton Area Community College were enrolled in the Microcomputer Application (CISC 104) course. Results of this study support prior research, indicating no significant difference in academic achievement between the two groups.
