| This thesis contains research on computer aided instruction (CAI) and the validity of a marine biology simulation for elementary school children.;To date there are few programs related to the field of marine biology. Each lesson covers a different aspect of the subject. None of the programs to date cover the subject as a simulation.;The analysis of the software is derived from the examination of both pre- and posttest from one class containing a total of 30 students. The students used in the following research were in the 5th grade, ages 10 to 11 years.;The results of the tests indicate that students can benefit from computer aided instruction in the field of marine biology. Each student increased their score from the pre- to the posttest.;The affective evaluation determined that 86.7% of the students felt they know more about marine biology after using Under the Sea. |
