| Detection of buried objects has continually been of great concern especially because of the damaging effects of landmines.; ISAR imaging techniques are explored for simulation of wave scattering from 3-D buried objects using FDTD. Available computer algorithms are used to simulate for various burial depths, soil moisture content and varying object dimensions.; Far field data is collected at the laboratory while the buried object is rotated in the azimuth angle to synthesize an ISAR aperture.; The images obtained using computer simulations and laboratory experiments are presented and discussed. |
