This study examined the degree to which school library media specialists in Missouri were providing services to preschool students and their families. It determined what services were being provided, whether the collection was adequate, what funding was used to support the collection, and the library media specialists' perceptions of the need for services to preschool students. A questionnaire was mailed to 132 library media specialists in districts with Title I preschools. Of the 73 returned questionnaires, 31, or 42%, of the respondents indicated that services were provided to preschool students and their parents. A need for such services was perceived by 42, or 58%, of the library media specialists.
