| Modifications to the observing capabilities of the 1.04-meter telescope at the Stephen F. Austin State University Observatory were made to provide it with the ability to conduct high speed photoelectric photometry of lunar occultations. A menu driven computer analysis program was also developed for use on a microcomputer. At present the program has the capacity for the analysis of stars that can effectively be considered as point-sources. The program includes options for the calculation of probable stellar diameters, smoothing observed data, the calculation of an integral plot of data, the estimation of initial parameter values for modeling data with a least squares fit, modeling data, and the calculation of the diffraction pattern produced from a lunar occultation. Two observations were made on point-source stars and an analysis provided. Further observatory enhancements and modifications to the analysis program are considered. |
