This document serves to support the working method of the ten drawings completed with ink and a variety of materials---from pens to fingerprints---in the exhibition Linear Linguistics. Forms within each composition were inspired by autobiographically related material and were filled with repetitive mark-making that referenced both ideographic language and arbitrary pattern. The multiple marks are left undefined to encourage viewers to draw their own conclusions about the nature of the drawings.
