This paper discusses the significance for the National Museum of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh of having a new website to attract visitors, both domestic and global, to create renewed awareness of Saudi Arabian history, culture, heritage, religion, and folklore. The paper analyzes the technical, aesthetic and content issues displayed on the current museum's website and discusses the benefits of creating a new website that would be at the same level as other major museums around the world.;The new website proposal includes a new Nock-structured layout page and updated information about the museum services; new attractive and user-friendly design elements that include dynamic features, high-quality images, and new responsive functions, making the website responsive in all technological devices. The new site will be created using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and JavaScript, making it universally Cultureunderstandable for any developer who might want to change, enhance or maintain the website in the future. Also, the paper presents a background history of the institution, a critic to the actual museum website and shares recommendations to develop the website for the future and points out the importance of an effective new website for the National Museum of Saudi Arabia on education, culture and the society in general. |
