The ground fissure, which caused serious damage to the existed buildings in Xi'an,has restricted the development of the city seriously.Currently, the metro tunnels and elevated works that are constructed or planed in Xi'an are inevitable to pass through the ground fissure. There are some potential geological disasters all the time. What's more,Xi'an is in a highly seismic region and exists many seismic risks in the future.Researches about the response of ground fissure sites in earthquake dynamic are not yet perfect, and simulations need to be verified by experiments. Therefore,it has a practical engineering value to research the response of ground fissures sites in shaking table test.In this essay,Xi'an f4 ground fissure site was taken as a prototype to design a model for the shaking table test.Based on the similarity theory, the geometric, the material attribute and the dynamic characteristics similarity ration were calculated by using dimensional method. The model of the soil and the laminar shear container are designed. The loading system and the measuring system were designed and a complete test program was achieved. On this basis,ABAQUS finite element software was used to do the numerical simulating of the model. The feasibility of this test program was verified and the response regularity of the ground fissure model under dynamic action was found. The results could be used as the comparison reference of the actual test results. The results showed that the model designed in this program can reflect the status quo of the ground fissure site, especially the characteristics under dynamic action.Thescale model has a significant?hanging wall and footwall effect?and?amplification-effect?.There is no linear relation between the distribution of the energy and the peak acceleration. The dynamic response of the ground fissure model was affected by the waveform and the direction of the input seismic waves obviously. Therefore, the most suitable seismic waves should be chosen for the shaking table test and the time history analysis should be used for the seismic design.
