Radio over fiber(Ro F)is a technology that uses optical fiber as a transmission carrier to transmit radio frequency analog signals.It has the advantages of fiber-optic communication and wireless communication,such as high flexibility,wide coverage,high bandwidth and low loss.As the most important light source module in the Ro F system,there are currently problems such as large volume and low link gain.This thesis focuses on the packaging technology of the light source emission module in Ro F.According to the principle of non-imaging optics,the multi-channel array light source modules with different modulation modes are integrated and packaged.The main contents and innovations are as follows:(1)Study the structure and principle of the Ro F link,and analyze its performance requirements for the optical package of the electro-optical module.In the packaging process,parameters such as coupling efficiency,light output power,and modulator half-wave voltage are mainly considered.Explain the principle of related components in the module,and propose the performance requirements of the two modules for optical packaging.(2)Optical design and simulation of direct modulation and external modulation light source transmitting module.Both transmitter modules are free-space optically coupled and packaged using a dual lens system solution.The optical path of the two modules was simulated by Zemax optical simulation software,and the dual lens combination with coupling efficiency of 85% and 83% were selected respectively.According to the principle of non-imaging optics,the mode field mismatch in Gaussian beam energy coupling is studied in depth,and Zemax is used to simulate the mode field mismatch tolerance.(3)Optical coupling package and performance test of direct modulation and external modulation light source module.In-depth study of the Gaussian beam coupling principle,electro-optical module.Finally,performance testing is performed on the two modules that have completed the package.The coupling efficiency of the two modules are both about 70%.Compared with the traditional split-packaging electro-optical module,the RF gain of the direct modulation module is increased by about 3 d B;the external modulation module is reduced in size to the previous quarter when the performance can meet the requirements of use.verify the simulation results of the model field mismatch tolerance,and optimize the module packaging process for the verification results.The key components are selected to complete the package of the high-speed array externally modulated and direct modulation laser.
