Hypoaspidinae belongs to Arachnida,Acari,Mesostigmata,Gamasina,Dermanyssoidea,Laelapidae. This group have a lot of world wide free–living predactors, and they are found in the soil, humus and litter, some live in mammals and arthropods nests,or parasite in the body surface of insect. The majority of Hypoaspidinae species are considered to be predatory mites, they have the potential to be used in biological control, this subfamily also has special medical significance and evolutionary biology research value. In this study, based on the specimen collection of 21 provinces and habitats in China, the floristic classification of the subfamily. There are 83 species in 11 genera of Hypoaspidinae in China, including 2 new species,2 new records and 38 new combinations. We also redescribed six known species which were described too simply.Key lists of genera and species of the subfamily were written. The new taxa and new combinations are as follows: 2 new species(Gaeolaelaps guoi sp.nov.,Stratiolaelaps liangheensis sp.nov.);2 new records(Gaeolaelaps queenslandica(Womersley,1956),Gaeolaelaps gillespiei Beaulieu,2009).38 new combination: C.guoi(Bai et Ma,2012)comb.nov.;C.subpictus(Gu et Bai,1992)comb.nov.;C.leese(Tseng,1977)comb.nov.;C.chianensis(Gu,1990)comb.nov.;C.sorecis(Li et al.,1996)comb.nov.;C.reticulatus(Xu et Liang,1996)comb.nov.;C.hrdyi(Samsinak,1961)comb.nov.;C.sungaris(Ma,1996)comb.nov.;C.paracuneifer(Gu et Bai,1992)comb.nov.;C.hefeiensis(Xu et Liang,1996)comb.nov.;C.qinghaiensis(Li et al.,1997)comb.nov.;C.vacua(Michael,1891)comb.nov.;G.singuloides(Gu et Duan,1991)comb.nov.;G.baichengensis(Ma,2000)comb.nov.;G.brevipilis(Hirschmann,1969)comb.nov.;G.xiningensis(Ma et Lin,2009)comb.nov.;G.postreticulatu(Xu et Liang,1996)comb.nov.;G.kargi(Costa,1968)comb.nov.;G.haiyuannensis(Bai et al.1994)comb.nov.;G.subminor(Gu et Bai,1991)comb.nov.;G.tengi(Gu et Bai,1991)comb.nov.;G.praesternaloides(Ma et Yin,1998)comb.nov.;G.dailingensis(Ma et Yin,1998)comb.nov.;G.praesternalis(Willmann,1949)comb.nov.;G.changlingensis(Ma,2000)comb.nov.;G.condinna(Teng,1982)comb.nov.;G.debilis(Ma 1996)comb.nov.;G.zhoumanshuae(Ma,1997)comb.nov.;G.aculeifer(Canestrini,1884)comb.nov.;G.aculeiferoides(Teng,1982)comb.nov.;H.chelaris(Teng et al.,1992)comb.nov.;H.linteyini(Samsinak,1964)comb.nov.;L.pavlovskii(Bregetova,1956)comb.nov.;L.neimongolianus(Ma et Wang,1998)comb.nov.;S.miles(Berlese,1892)comb.nov.;S.xiajiangensis(Ma et Lin 2009)comb.nov.;S.retirugi(Ma et al.,2004)comb.nov.;S.yeruiyuae(Ma,1995)comb.nov..On the basis of the classification study,we fully searched and analyzed the previous study of gamasid mites, and comprehensively sorted out the geographic distribution information of the Hypoaspidinae mites, including the host or habitat information.Based on the theory of zoogeography, the fauna characteristics of the subfamily were analyzed as follows: most of the fauna in the world are of palaearctic-Oriental fauna;the fauna in China is dominated by the north China fauna.
