Gain and emission spectra characteristics of Tm3+-doped telluride glass fibers pumped with 465nm lasers are analyzed for the first time,to the best of our knowledge.In the chapter two the characteristic of Tm3+energy levels with the electronic transition and the transition process of electron with the pump 465 nm are presented,and the energy-level diagram,the rate equation and power propagation equations are presented.In chapter three the Newton-Raphson algorithm is used to solve the rate equations and the fourth order of Rung-Kutta algorithm is used to solve the power propagation equation by using MATLAB programming.In section four the result of the fibers parameters such as energetic ion concentration,length and pump power on the gain spectra and Amplified Spontaneous Emission(ASE)spectra are analyzed.The WDM transmission performance based on Tm3+-doped tellurite glass fibers are analyzed by using the Optisystem.The results predict that with the pump parameter 465nm/200mW,doping concentration 2.5×1025 ions/m3 and fiber length 16.0m,the gain and ASE spectra can cover from 1100 to 1900nm with gain and ASE power peaks which can reach 52dB,8mW,respectively.The transmission system performance analysis show the that the eye diagrams of the signal at 1550nm has large opening and clear profile,but the eye diagrams of the signal at 1250nm,1300nm,1350nm,1400nm,1450nm,1600nm,1650nm have poor opening and their profiles are not clear,depending on the signal to noise ratio(SNR)of signal at different wavelength.
