Direct resistance heating is an important form of electric heating.It is a low voltage and large current directly to the metal material.Because the metal is a conductor,it has resistance,its heating heat is derived from the Joule heat that generated when the current flows.In the paper,the direct resistance heating is realized by a continuous annealing simulation test machine.Continuous annealing simulation machine has many advantages,for example,it has a wide heating temperature range,high heating efficiency,good data reproducibility,and low cost,but at the same time,there are also problems of poor shape and uneven temperature distribution.To solve the problem,a method of opening on both sides of a steel plate is proposed.In this paper,the ANSYS Workbench software is used to analyze the heating process of different thicknesses steel plates.Including the comparison of the temperature field at the same heating voltage,temperature field at the same heating temperature,deformation,stress of different thicknesses steel plates.And when the thickness is constant,analysis of the temperature field,current density,deformation,stress field of the steel plate.Then use experiment to verify it.The temperature distribution is high in the middle and is low on both sides,The region in which the intermediate temperature differs by 10? is called the temperature equalization zone.To increase the temperature equalization zone,slotting on both sides of the steel plate,in terms of the ratio of the slotted area to the cross-sectional area,choosed the most appropriate ratio,and carried out a series of analysis and verification,the main conclusions are as follows:(1)The thicknesses are different,under the same voltage,the heating temperature and the temperature uniform zone increase as the thickness increases of the steel plate.However,the heating rate decreases as the thickness increases of the steel plate.Under the same heating temperature,the temperature uniform zone and the heating rate decrease as the thickness increases of the steel plate,and the heating time increases as the thickness increases.(2)The deformation in the width direction decreases as the thickness increases.The contact surface pressure and the sliding distance increase as the thickness increases,and the contact surface pressure uniformity decreases as the thickness increases.(3)When the thickness is constant,the heating temperature,the temperature equalization zone,and the heating rate all increase as the voltage increases.Current density varies with voltage,because of the presence of bolts,the current density in the X direction is too large.(4)During the heating process,the temperature uniform zone gradually becomes smaller,the distance to the electrode is closer,the heating rate is faster.During the heat preservation process,if the given voltage is small,the temperature uniform zone gradually becomes smaller,and the steel plate is thinner,the temperature zone becomes smaller is easier.(5)The stress and strain are both large on both sides and small in the middle.(6)When heated to a high temperature,It is found by simulation that when the proportion of the opening accounts for one-fifth of the cross-sectional area,it has a good improvement effect on the temperature uniform zone...
