| The importance of ultrafast solid-state lasers technology in science and engineering continues to grow as their perform ance offers great advantages.Therefore,ultrafast Ytterbium-doped laser has been demonstrated in this thesis using Semiconductor saturable absorber mirrors(SESAM)and various new two-dimensional(2D)nanomaterials as a saturable absorber.Here,new 2D nanomaterials like molybdenum disulfide(MoS2),tungsten disulfide(WS2)and black phosphorus(BP)were explored as saturable absorbers(SAs)devices.These SAs were integrated into a solid-state resonator cavity for realizing ultrafast laser.The main contents of this paper’s work are as follows:1-After we checked the continuous-wave laser of both Yb:KYW and Yb:YCOB crystals with different output coupler mirrors(OC),we used a semiconductor mirror as a saturable absorber to start and keep stable passively mode-locking.A passively mode-locked Yb:KYW ultrafast laser was accomplished.The pulse duration,spectrum width and the average output power of the mode-locked laser were 178 fs,11.5 nm,and 680 mW,respectively.For Yb:YCOB crystal,a passively mode-locked laser was achieved with a repetition rate,spectrum width and the average output power of 90 MHz,1.6 nm,and 92 mW,2-By manually transferring of MoS2&BP solution onto a highly reflective mirror,passive Q-switched solid-state laser experiments have been demonstrated.MoS2 SA Q-switched laser pulse with a maximum average output power of 250 mW was achieved,the repetition frequency and pulse width are 40 kHz 3.8μs,respectively.For BP SA,the Q-switched laser maximum average output power is 110 mW with the repetition frequency and pulse width of 30.4 kHz and 2.1μs,respectively.3-A preliminary mode-locking laser pulse of MoS2 and BP using a spin coating technique was achieved.Yb:CYA preliminary passive mode-locking laser using BP SA and MoS2 SA were demonstrated,a maximum average output power,and spectral full bandwidth at half maximum of 235 mW,84 mW,2.1 nm,0.7 nm,respectively have been achieved.Also,two CVD-Grown MoS2&WS2 films SA were tested and the nonlinear absorption characteristics of MoS2 SA was reported.A preliminary passive mode-locking laser using CVD-Grown MoS2&WS2 film SA was obtained.The maximum average output power,and spectral full bandwidth at half maximum were 160 mW,70 mW,1.2nm,1.1 nm,respectively... |
